I really enjoyed reading your articles and also finding that your organization is helping black men tap into their full potential. As a female and teacher, I notice every day that black males are giving up easily. Thank you for you continued effort in making a difference in their lives. My son read the book and was an essay contestant. This book really helped him understand the importance of having a positive image as it pertain to your outward appearance as well as inward. I felt that for me as a single parent I always believe that it takes a village to raise a child. Your message and purpose for this book and essay contest reached him and I do believe the standards of this book will be magnified in his outlook as a young positive young man. My son recieved the character award along with 6 other students last week out of 300 more seventh graders... meaning he exemplify good behavior traits as recommended by his teacher. I applaude you for giving young men an opportunity to be Role Models to their peers ! CARLA NELSON (Little Rock) Msg Id: (765)

I am a mother of two sons...one is 22 years old and the other is 18 years old. I've been a single mother for 22 years and have done quite well with my sons. Unfortunately, there are some things I can't teach them. When I heard what you are doing for the young men I was just so pride of you. Giving your time back to the community is always a beautiful sacrifice. I commend you! I want my sons to come see what you are all about. When are you traveling in the New Jersey area again? They need to hear and see for themselves. I will always to their mother so of course, they will always look at me as a nag. I want the best for them and listening to someone else could help them. Thanks again for this wonderful website. Praise you and keep up the good work. This is GREAT!!! Jacquie R. Johnson (Newark, NJ) Msg Id: (398)
I want to be apart of building these young males into men. Ernest Edwards (200 Washington Street, Nwk NJ 07102) Msg Id: (391)
